Animals you can come across without going far, as long as you get up early.

My name is Brendan Fleurdelys. Photography came to me all at once, by chance, in 2018, and never let go.

I head out before sunrise, into forests I know, and settle down more or less at random. The first photo I was proud of is one of an adult red fox, the very first animal I photographed from a hide. It is still in this gallery, tucked behind the fox cub, with the other foxes.

I am not a photographer by trade. I work in IT, developing applications, and this site is my work too. I keep a photo when I like it, with no other criterion, and I process it lightly: I would rather the picture stay close to what I saw.

One rule never changes: no bait, no disturbance. If a picture would require getting too close, it does not get taken.

One day I would like to photograph a wolf. It is my favourite animal, and I have never had one in front of the lens.
